Time Cards need to be more "officially submitted", not just in "pending" status.

When I get to Sunday and Monday, I never know if my team members have finished adding hours or not for the previous week. A new status of "Submitted" should be between Pending and Approved...and each person should "Submit" their completed time card. That would be the way most other time systems work. Until a card is submitted, it is not "signed by the employee" as final. That is a very important step in time tracking. It puts the burden of making sure the card is accurate when it is "submitted" on the employee. Right now there is no official action of an employee to validate and authenticate their weekly hours.
There could be a notification of when a card is Submitted so that I know to come in and Approve.
There could also be a notification to the EE of a card is not "Submitted"...with some rule like the other notifications have.

Seriously need this addressed. Here it is, month-end again. I have NO idea who has and who has not submitted their time cards. Sure, I can see empty weeks of no hours entered, but I have no idea if that is because they did not have any hours that week, or if they just did not get their time in.
I am having trouble keeping track of just 15 people. I cannot imagine what this would be like if I had 50. This issue really needs to be addressed.

This is becoming more and more critical. Employees and contractors to be responsible for "submitting" their time card once they have it complete. Leaving the Admin to "guess" if a card is complete or not so it can be approved is not right.

More. even weeks without work should have "zero hours" time cards submitted. I think the trigger here should be when hours for a subsequent week are submitted, the system should not allow previous week time cards to remain unsubmitted. In other words, a person cannot submit time cards out of order. No past week can remain unsubmitted if this week is submitted.
